SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Public Sector Technical (Compliance) Project Manager to join us in spreading the power of Wiz. This position is a mid-level, independent contributor position focused on execution of federal governance, risk and compliance efforts. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will oversee and drive the execution of projects with varying levels of complexity, from inception to delivery. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, product managers, stakeholders, and external partners. The TPM will serve as a bridge between technical teams and operations teams, ensuring alignment, clarity of progress, removing roadblocks, and maintaining project momentum.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ensure clear definition of project scope.
- Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time.
- Document project workstreams and tasks in a way that can assist cross functional teams with hitting timelines.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and key milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, and post-mortems.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Track and prioritize tasks, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project updates and deliverables.
- Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Provide regular status updates and dashboards to leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, challenges, and solutions.
- Support teams in translating high-level objectives into actionable tasks.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years of leading technical and non-technical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
- Understand agile methodology and SDLC.
- Must be comfortable working in various project management tools however extensive experience in Jira is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain reports that have meaning and value, not just colors.
- Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels – technical acumen is a must.
- Enjoy operating autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results with cross-functional, virtual teams.
