About the role

Overview

Talent Pool - Administrative & ClericalResponsible for supporting the inpatient nursing department's scheduling/staffing efforts to ensure adequate staffing in all departments. Maintain the nursing department data base. The schedule for this role is 6:30am - 6:30pm Sat and Sun with one 12 hr night shift every other week. Total hours equal to 30 hours a week.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
  • Maintains operations of Staffing Office. Obtains daily staffng requests and information, census, acuity, and level of activity and availability of staff. Obtains weekly staffing needs of nursing departments. Communicates with Department Directors/AC's regarding staffing issues. Distributes flexible resources schedule/staff per the Assitant Director or Director.
  • Maintains Optilink staffing and scheduling system. Maintains accurate data for tracking staff availability and staffing assignments. Assists in acting as a "help desk" with the staffing and scheduling system to support Nursing Department leadership.
  • Documents staff call ins for the Nursing Departments in the Safety Zone Portal and Optilink.
  • Coordinates the utilization of sitters. Works with AC's to assign sitters and accurately track utilization.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent - RequiredPost high school training/school with computers/secretarial certification - Preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:1 - 3 years of progressive secretarial/clerical experience - RequiredExperience in healthcare and previous staffing coordinator experience - Preferred

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDPREFERRED
