The Goizueta Business School is seeking an experienced Network Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience providing advanced technical support for server environments, with a strong background in virtualization technologies and application development in a multi-user environment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Windows/Linux Operating Systems management, possess expertise in Active Directory support, and have experience in cloud, virtualization, and storage area network maintenance. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and supervises staff and operations in an Information Technology (IT) area.
- Advises management on issues within a specific IT area to ensure compliance and uniform systems across the division and enterprise.
- Works closely with other area managers and directors to ensure smooth and transparent processes and systems.
- Designs information systems and procedures to support division operations.
- Hires, trains and supervises staff.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
- Provide advanced technical support for server environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
- Support virtualization technologies such as Cloud, VMware, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Develop and maintain applications in a multi-user environment.
- Manage Windows/Linux Operating Systems in accordance with best practices, including regular maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Provide end-user support for server and network issues.
- Manage Active Directory (Cloud and On-Prem) including group policy management.
- Perform maintenance and resource planning for Cloud, Virtualization, and Storage Area Networks.
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using networking concepts and protocols.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices and equipment.
- Perform server maintenance tasks, including hardware installation and replacement.
- Ensure server and network security is maintained through regular monitoring and patching.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree and five years of related IT experience including project management and lead or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux Operating Systems management in accordance with best practices.
- Experience with Active Directory (Cloud and On-Prem) support, including group policy management.
- Experience in cloud, virtualization, and storage area network maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (hardware equipment).
- Server maintenance experience, including hardware installation and replacement.
- Experience with server and network security.
- ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
