Position Summary:  
Goodwill is seeking a team-oriented and results-driven Business Engagement Specialist, which is a key  
member of the Mission Services team, responsible for connecting job seekers with meaningful  
employment opportunities. This role serves as a bridge between Goodwill clients and the business  
community, cultivating employer relationships, identifying job openings, and supporting clients  
throughout the hiring process. The Specialist works closely with workforce development staff to align  
training and career readiness services with current labor market needs, ensuring job seekers are  
prepared and positioned for long-term success. This role is both client-facing and employer-facing,  
requiring a dynamic, relationship-driven individual with a passion for economic mobility and community  
impact.  
Duties & Responsibilities:  





Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers across a variety of industries to identify  
hiring needs and develop job placement opportunities for Goodwill clients.  
Conduct outreach to local businesses to promote Goodwill’s mission and workforce services,  
emphasizing the value of hiring job seekers with barriers to employment.  
Collaborate with Success Coaches and Instructors to understand client career goals, skills, and  
job readiness, and coordinate on resume development and interview practice.  
Provide job matching and placement support by aligning client qualifications with employer  
requirements.  
Organize and participate in employer hiring events, job fairs, and on-site interviews to create  
pipelines for client employment.  





Job Description  
Business Engagement Specialist  




Track employer feedback, job leads, placements, and retention outcomes in case management,  
Case Worthy.  
Assist with labor market analysis to identify trends, high-demand industries, and workforce  
gaps.  
Conduct follow-up with employers and clients post-placement to support retention and  
advancement at the 30, 60, and 90 day mark.  
Represent Goodwill in community workforce groups and employer networks to promote  
partnerships and job development opportunities.  

Maintain knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, ADA, other employment  
regulations, and supports needed for job readiness and job placement of each client.  


Work with Mission Services leadership to fulfill grant reporting requirements.  
Operate as a team player, supporting the Mission Services team with other duties as assigned.  

Some travel within the Goodwill Dallas Service area may be required, as well as travel to  
and from partner sites for mobile service delivery
