Global Senior Treasury Analyst

The Role:
Morningstar is looking for a Sr. Treasury Analyst to join our global Treasury team, which is focused on business partnership, innovation, automation, and process improvement. As a Sr. Treasury Analyst, you will play an integral role with daily treasury operations, including cash management, bank account administration, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, M&A integration initiatives, FBAR reporting, process improvements, and other ad-hoc items. This position reports to the Director of Global Treasury and is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Americas cash management functions, including working capital and liquidity needs.
- Review daily cash position reports, weekly cash forecast updates, and approve investment or funding recommendations.
- Responsible for global bank account administration, including opening and closing bank accounts, updating account documentation, maintaining authorized signers and system users, and KYC updates.
- Manage, review, and execute manual payments, including I/C settlements.
- Support A/P activities to troubleshoot H2H payment issues.
- Partner with banks to address global operational needs.
- Support Treasury integration activities, including acquisitions and bank structure simplification.
- Responsible for compliance with SOX controls, policies, and procedures, including identifying and implementing improvements to mitigate risk and streamline processes as well as ensuring procedures are documented and updated.
- Responsible for audit requirements and reporting requests.
- Lead treasury operations processes and technology initiatives.
- Responsible for the review and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Handle ad-hoc Treasury projects and reporting responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate Treasury, finance, or audit, preferably at a multi-national public company.
- Broad understanding of banking services, standards, best practices, clearing systems, and payment technologies.
- Strong cash management experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with varying levels of management and professional staff.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with banking platforms (CashPro and Access) is a plus.
- CTP candidate a plus.
