We are seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Coty Benelux organization. As Demand Insights & S&OP Specialist, you will own 18 months forecast for a complex dynamic portfolio. You will manage systems, reporting, and communication needed to deliver the 50/50 demand plan for several brands in the Benelux region. This position plays a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners. The role requires a high level of multi-functional collaboration, focus on details, and agility to deliver the dynamic planning needs of the market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Demand Insights & S&OP Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the organization can effectively meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels, minimizing costs and driving overall supply chain efficiency.

This position is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts for their portfolio through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, as part of the monthly S&OP process. They ensure all market insights are integrated into the forecast, contributing to financial planning (P&L) and operational success. 

Your main focus: 

• Facilitate the local S&OP process, collaborating with commercial, marketing and finance teams, ensuring all markets insights are captured, preparing and supporting meetings, including the monthly meeting with the management.
• Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate forecast valuation.
• Enable decision making on market insights, defining assumptions changes, risks and opportunities to enhance forecast reliability based on business trends and market dynamics.
• Communicate market insights, risks and opportunities to the central demand planning team to maintain an accurate volume forecast.
• Upload forecast drivers for machine learning, customer and sales forecast, EPOS data into the demand planning system to ensure a robust forecasting process.
• Manage the New Product Development demand forecast and coordinate market readiness with marketing, commercial and supply teams, reflecting forecast parameters into the demand planning system.
• Oversee portfolio management, including product launches and product discontinuation, to prevent excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Collaborate with Global Deployment teams to ensure smooth and timely product supply.
• Monitor stock availability, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain service levels in collaboration with the DRP teams.
• Support stock allocation management to maximize customer order fulfillment in line with business priorities.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and close process gaps for supply and demand.
• Drive initiatives to improve S&OP processes, forecast accuracy, and supply chain performance.
• Lead multifunctional connects (Marketing / Sales / Finance) for the forecast Building Blocks review and reconciliation
• Using SAP, Business Intelligence, and o9 planning tool to support the S&OP processes
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach in working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that accurate information is used for alignment meetings, reviews and plans
• Work with Initiative and Marketing teams to determine timelines for and sizing promotional and new products forecasts, ensure novelties performance review & forecast updates based on sell-out / promotional plans. Coordinate and collaborate in Pre-S&OP meetings.
• Own customer Sell-out / SIT analysis to improve forecast accuracy results on SKU level
