The Role
We are looking for a driven, highly organized, and collaborative leader to join our People Operations team. You are passionate about innovation and take initiative to provide a great employee experience, with streamlined and business focused processes and services. Reporting to the VP, People our ideal candidate has experience driving across various HR functions including benefits, HRIS, HR policies and compliance. You have strong communication skills, a process driven mentality, critical thinking, and attention to detail. You will have a front row seat and a direct impact on the next phase of our growth!
Cool Things You’ll Do
- Manage, lead and mentor a small team of HR Associates
- Lead day-to-day People Operations functions related to the administration of benefits, performance management, leaves of absence, and onboarding/offboarding programs.
- Work closely with the broader HR team to advise and implement all aspects of the HR/Talent strategy.
- Create and implement people policies and procedures consistent with California law and employment laws in other states in close partnership with our legal team and external advisors.
- Lead all benefits data and coordinate closely with non-U.S. offices to ensure a coordinated HRIS design as the company scales
- Develop benefit communication materials and trainings for HR programs
- Prioritize and deliver U.S. compliance training programs for the People Team, people managers, and the broader company.
- Handle all aspects of people function compliance, reporting and reconciliation activities in partnership with internal teams and external vendors (e.g., OSHA, FLSA, 1095-C, 5500, EEO-1, California Pay Equity Act SB-973).
- Be the subject matter authority on US employment laws and compliance topics (California expertise is required), including proactively monitoring of the compliance landscape for new and changing regulations
- Analyze and make recommendations on existing HR policies, practices and programs and work with HRBPs to implement improvements.
- Provides proactive thought leadership and strategic insights on emerging trends to business leaders to advise talent priorities.
- Lead key talent processes including employee relations and engagement, performance rewards, organizational structure, and policy application.
- Maintain all employee data in Workday, HR administrative procedures, and documentation process
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners on a variety of projects including talent assessment, the year-end performance review process and other initiatives
What you Bring to the Table
- 10+ years experience in leading and running Total Rewards, compliance and HR Policies
- HRIS (Workday) subject matter expert
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- Proven experience of successfully partnering with senior HR and employee leaders
- Track record of success in owning and driving benefits strategies
- Understanding of State and Federal regulations impacting HR administration
- Self-starter who works with minimal direction and integrity while also being a strong standout colleague
- Demonstrated business acumen, and experience working with sophisticated organizations during periods of growth and change.
- Superior people first communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) at all levels (IC to Exec).
