About this role

Carrier Transicold Truck/Trailer is seeking a continuous improvement leader to lead and implement Carrier Excellence (Cx) and lean initiatives across our manufacturing sites to drive process improvement and operational excellence. The Lean Manufacturing Manager will champion best-in-class processes, striving to become a recognized Carrier Excellence Practitioner or Master.

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, process innovation, and quality improvement.

This is onsite in Athens GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Carrier Excellence (Cx) / lean tools and methodologies in both business and manufacturing environments to drive process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lead the implementation of lean processes across manufacturing and warehouse sites, creating a lean vision and strategy to reduce inventory, lead-times, and waste.
  • Lead in Cx Site Assessments to enable site and cell certifications and demonstrate proper application of Cx criteria to gain Silver/Gold assessor certification.
  • Manage monthly Cx Performance Metrics focusing on cost, efficiency, and quality objectives.
  • Drive measurable improvements supporting metrics for customer delivery, productivity, and product flow.
  • Formulate plans and lead teams to execute activities that achieve world-class process flow.
  • Develop value stream maps and eliminate process waste through the implementation of lean techniques.
  • Guide plant teams in executing lean plans to reduce inventory, lead-time, and waste, and improve process quality.
  • Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration, leverage the strengths of both methodologies to achieve business goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of lean experience in a professional capacity in manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Experience in continuous improvement or operational excellence roles.
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools, including leading kaizens, value stream mapping, one-piece flow, 3P, and/or other lean tools.
  • Leadership and team development skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Delivering measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, quality, and process flow.
  • Lead change and influence at all levels of the organization
