About the Role

The Door Host provides direction at the door for guests, team members, and the property. Maintains crowd control, prevents theft, and discourages altercations in a high-volume atmosphere. The Door Host always works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service.

Position Responsibilities

• Communicates with the host team on arrival of guests
• Facilitates door security and assures guests are in the correct entry lines
• Remains alert for any suspicious persons or activities 
• Answers all guest questions and furnishes detailed information on casino facilities, attractions, retail shops, and food and beverage locations
• Follows radio communication procedures and corresponding codes
• Communicates professionally with all management
• Promotes and practices safety awareness and behavior, adhering to all safety standards
• Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend and twist for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas
• Must be able to lift/pull up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
• Must be able to work both inside and outside during all times of the year as needed based on business volumes
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon Guest volume
• Must be dexterous and able to participate in all service aspects.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
• Previous experience in a lounge or nightclub setting preferred.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude always
