Hybrid Property Accountant

Monte Christo Communities is growing and we need talented Property Accountants to join our team!

What you will do:

• Process high volume accounts payable transactions
• Perform month end, quarter end and year end financial close processes
• Prepare and analyze property financial statements
• Critically evaluate expenses and follow up with operational team
• Prepare 1099, 1098 tax forms and reconcile property ledgers for tax return preparation
• Analyze and resolve resident loan discrepancies and calculate loan payoff amounts

• The ability to re-evaluate priorities daily and meet deadlines
• A high degree of technical understanding of accounting software (experience with QuickBooks and Yardi preferred)
• A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and tax returns

Requirements

• Experience with QuickBooks and Yardi (preferred)
• 1+ years experience in accounting focused role or equivalent education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or currently pursuing a degree
