Buildings Housekeeper | Fulltime | Evening shift

Description

The building’s housekeeper is a representation of the Iredell Health System and must always project a professional and positive image. This buildings housekeeper is assigned to the Outer buildings for cleaning and disinfecting duties, will drive a hospital vehicle over an established route to render cleaning services and maintain necessary facility equipment related to patient and staff use within the housekeeping guidelines. 

Requirements

• Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Employees receive on-the-job training.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner)
• Ability to clean blood and body fluids.
• Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Must be able to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time. 
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
