JOB OVERVIEW: 

CNC Programmer is responsible for operating and programming assigned CNC machinery, effectively and in a timely manner. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). 

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models. 

• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process. 

• Creating instructions for machinists. 

• Making calculations for programming including sequence of operations, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting methodologies. 

• Communicating with engineers and CNC operators. 

• Evaluates completed programs by running simulations or tests. 

• Modifying existing programs for increased efficiency. 

• Complies with all safety rules and regulations. 

• Other tasks as assigned by the Manager 

WORK EXPERIENCE:    

• 7+ years CNC Machinist experience with 3+ years programming, Espirit, Surfcam and Mastercam, Virtual for Rollamatic a plus, Unisom (applications 

• Knowledge of multiple CNC machinery 

EDUCATION:    

• High school diploma or equivalent required 

• Certificate from college or technical school specific to CNC Machine Operation a plus 

• Certificate from college or technical school specific to programming CNC machines or equivalent experience. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:    

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer. 

• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints. 

• Extensive experience with computer modeling software. 

• Strong attention to detail. 

• Active listening skills.
