Description
Assists with the daily oversight, leadership and achievement of results for Salvage Operations. Aids with directing all aspects of operations, leading the team and driving business for both short- and long-term success. Responsible for maintaining reports, providing feedback and aiding with the development of Team Members for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay (GSFB) and its affiliated entities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides feedback to the Manager of Warehouse Operations on day-to-day Salvage operations in an effort to maintain and improve business and resolve problems.
- Assists with executing department operations plan to achieve required targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for profit and revenue.
- Develops and maintains production efficiencies to increase production while maintaining expenses and revenue goals.
- Provides feedback and training to team, as needed, to ensure quality standards and daily goals are met.
- Maintains positive and professional working relationships with peers, Team Members and customers to ensure effective operations of Salvage.
- Ensures the quality and quantity of all salvage commodities are meeting the salvage guidelines.
- Works to de-escalate customer and Team Member situations while finding an appropriate solution.
- Coordinates and effectively communicates with various GSFB divisions to ensure customer, Team Member, and department needs are met.
- Implements and maintains procedures to maximize efficiencies in production, sales and customer service, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensures timeliness and accuracy of all required reports and administrative duties.
- Leads and makes decisions on the day-to-day operations of the department to include determining what product should be sorted based on product levels and customer requests.
- Ensures that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures relating to security, health and safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to Team Members and the business.
- Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
- Builds a high-performing team to maximize donated goods.
- Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
- Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
- Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.

- Must be able to stand and walk frequently, sit occasionally, handle/fingering constantly, and reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, and bend occasionally
