About the role

Summary

 

Pathologists at Texas Children's Hospital have primary full-time academic appointments in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, and are expected to contribute to educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Pathology based at Texas Children's Hospital, as well as pathology resident and fellow education. We are particularly recruiting an individual who has strong interest in direct patient care.
One of the physicians in the Division of Transfusion Medicine & Coagulation, work as a team to provide care for patients with bleeding and/or thrombosis.
The physician will do sign out of blood bank and coagulation panels, be on consult stake service, and on call on a rotation basis.

  • Develop new tests
  • Participate in education
  • Participate in collaborative research with other institutions and departments

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

MD or DO with Texas State medical license and board certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
The individual should have expertise in both blood banking and coagulation.
