About the role

Job Scope:

The Warehouse Support & Development Supervisor will plan, coordinate, and organize the distribution and storage of Spare Parts at the USDC. This Warehouse / Operations Supervisor role within operations involves stock control, warehousing space management and system monitoring ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials and processes. Be an outgoing person who possesses the following characteristics:

Proactive initiator, persistent follow-up, and delivering consistent results timely and efficiently.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Measure LPM (lines per man) shipped daily to ensure efficiencies.

  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cost of operations and improve service level, capacity, productivity, and quality.

  • Assist management staff in communicating policies and procedures

·        Space Management (ABC WH analysis, moves, etc.)IT hardware management.

  • Warehouse space management.

  • Continuous cycle counts

  • Buildings and layout

  • Testing and approval of process changes and collaborating with partners.

  • Drive operational excellence and best practices to improve quality, service, cost, & safety

  • Reviews measurement / KPI’s reports and progress; generate various reports per management; analyzing logistical problems, developing new solutions and increasing overall USDC efficiency.

  • Will be a a part of the USDC management group.

  • Ensure all safety, regulatory, and compliance measures are met within company and global guidelines.

  •  May perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.)  or Bachelors / Business (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and 8 years of relevant job experience in Distribution / Supply Chain Management.

 

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of (8) years of related business experience, 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

 

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:       

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations required.

  • Demonstrated supervisory, organizational and communication skills.

  • Expertise in Distribution Management strategies and concepts.

  • Knowledge of Lean repetitive distribution systems and interpretation of data-processing output.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage complex projects.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

ERP systems experience; SAP
