Job Summary
Under direction of Executive Staff, performs highly complex and diverse administrative support duties in support of Doisy College of Health Sciences projects and initiatives; relieves the Executive staff of a variety of administrative details; plans, coordinates and organizes activities and the related flow of communications for the College; ensures directives and special initiatives are carried out and handled appropriately; frequently obtains, explains, and provides information to the Executive Leadership Team, administrators, staff, faculty, and the general public related to College activities. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences.
Job Duties
- Assists executives by performing specialized and complex administrative and clerical support; screens calls, schedules and coordinates meetings and commitments
- Researches and compiles data for reports and studies, composes and/or prepares confidential reports and correspondence, makes travel and accommodates arrangements for executive staff.
- Assists in planning and implementing various programs, special projects, activities and services as assigned; may independently coordinate assigned programs or projects; coordinates logistics for various meetings, conferences, workshops and events, such as College pre-commencement.
- Attends meetings; provides administrative and clerical support to various committees, commissions and task forces as required
- Establishes and maintains highly complex record-keeping systems of confidential and sensitive nature; may assist in coordinating the implementation and application of information technology systems to support area of responsibility
- May supervise and train student workers and organize training material
- Performs general office duties, such as assisting with building requests and building projects
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent and five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative/executive level support, preferably in higher education.
