Teacher, English Language Arts, Middle School (EX) (2025-2026) - St. Joseph School, Cockeysville MD

St. Joseph School Cockeysville is seeking highly qualified candidates for the ELA teacher position for the 25-26 School Year. The successful applicant should demonstrate knowledge and communication of subject matter competency to students in grades 4 through 8. The teacher is responsible for creating a system of positive discipline and classroom order where all students can learn with success and joy. A willingness to commit to and collaborate on behalf of student growth and success is essential.

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines that motivate, challenge, and engage students
• Assessment and grading including the use of PowerSchool
• Classroom management and all duties assigned to this teacher
• Participation as part of the faculty in all meetings and activities
• Integrate technology where appropriate to enhance instruction.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English or related field
• MSDE Certified
• Knowledgeable in technology use and integration
• Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation
• Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form

Range: $45,000 - 50,000 Annualized
