The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the upfit catalog by identifying the correct components, ensuring product compatibility and accuracy, and creating clear technical documentation. Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for cataloged products, supporting Sales, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers while evaluating new products and vendors and ensuring catalog compliance with current applications and standards.
Responsibilities
- Identify and validate components for inclusion in the upfit catalog.
- Develop and maintain clear work instructions, technical manuals, specifications, and related documentation.
- Monitor catalog models for compliance with product applications, processing standards, supply chain strategy, fitment requirements, and component compatibility.
- Serve as the technical SME for cataloged products and provide guidance on component selection and industry best practices.
- Support Sales, Engineering, Operations, suppliers, and customers by offering product recommendations and technical solutions using cataloged products.
- Evaluate and provide technical input on new products and suppliers being considered for catalog inclusion.
- Research existing and emerging products to maintain expertise on current and prospective catalog offerings.
- Act as a technical liaison between departments, leveraging upfit and process expertise to support business initiatives and operational goals.
- Participate in technical projects and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Experience leading technical or process improvement projects.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- ASE training or certification is a plus.
- Experience interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics is strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, or BOM management systems is preferred.
- CAD experience is preferred.
