Accounting and Reporting Manager in Brussels

<p></p><p>This newly created position combines technical accounting expertise, business partnering and people management, offering the opportunity to build and develop a function with significant visibility across the organization.<br><br>You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders while ensuring accurate reporting, financial transparency and high-quality service delivery.</p><p></p><br>Jobomschrijving<br><p></p><p>In this role, you will oversee accounting and reporting activities for centrally managed costs and third-party managed assets while acting as a trusted finance partner to key stakeholders.</p><ul><li>Partner with central functions such as IT, Legal and other support teams on financial performance and cost management.</li><li>Own the accounting, reporting and control of centrally managed expenditures.</li><li>Manage the reporting and relationship with third-party property owners, ensuring accurate information and timely responses to inquiries.</li><li>Review monthly financial results, analyse variances and provide clear financial insights.</li><li>Coordinate month-end closing activities, reconciliations and intercompany recharges.</li><li>Drive process improvements, strengthen controls and support systems-related initiatives.</li><li>Lead, coach and develop a small team, fostering collaboration and high performance.</li></ul><p></p> <ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.</li><li>Solid accounting background with at least 7 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.</li><li>Fluent in English with excellent communication skills - French and Dutch</li><li>Previous experience managing and developing team members, with a genuine interest in people leadership.</li><li>Strong business partnering mindset and the ability to build effective relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.</li><li>Experience working in an international, multi-entity or shared services environment is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of SAP; experience with ERP implementations or system improvements is highly valued.</li></ul>
