This position is for a Supplier Management Operational Excellence Sr. Manager (Level M) within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management that will be responsible to lead a diverse team responsible for BGS-wide SM Integration, Training, Risk, Governance and Compliance Team. Other duties may include developmental program, strategy and contracts. This position will reside in our BGS Supply Chain Center of Excellence, Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge of developmental procurement, data analytics, aerospace compliance (defense and commercial), and the capability to lead in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This leader will also be responsible to ensure processes are streamlined to enable flexible and agile support across the BGS business in a competitive and global market place. You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers.
This position is onsite. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options: Dallas, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier contracting related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
Manages employees and mid-level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services, monitoring and mitigating supply chain risk, as well as provide data visibility to all BGS teams
Provides oversight and guidance for the BGS Training, Compliance and Contract Management
Provides oversight and guidance for developmental programs, strategy and/or contracts
Provides oversight and guidance for the BGS integration team for Supplier Management data analytics, systems, and tools support
Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies and risk mitigation objectives.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes, training, and related tools.
Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in Contracts & Pricing and/or Supplier Management Procurement.
5+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment.
5+ years Contract drafting and negotiation
Experience evaluating and mitigating risk
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
Experience working with suppliers and managing a supply base in a dynamic environment
Project Management Experience
5+ years of experience with regulatory compliance (DFAR, FAA, etc)
