Associate Cost Accountant

The Associate Cost Accountant will report, monitor and review daily process order transactions for inefficiencies & perform research to determine the root cause.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain cost accounting system, including updates of the standard costs & finished good routing times.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Analyze Purchase Price Variance & book all related journal entries.
• Analyze manufacturing variances from standard costs & report.
• Prepare and analyze product costs for new and existing products.
• Provide guidance and support to the production team on cost-related matters.
• Book month end accruals related to production & quality cost centers.
• Participate on site internal/external audits.
• Ad-hoc support of operations/finance with respect to the above.

 

Qualifications:

• Education experience
• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Entry level role - 1 yr related experience preferred
• Prior Knowledge/Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• SAP experience required.
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
