Inpatient Wound and Ostomy Nurse

About the Job:

• In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, Human Resources, and leaders from across the organization, creates an environment focused on workforce development, career advancement, retention, and a pathway for employees to flourish. Works to educate and expand opportunities for current and potential employees by providing educational guidance and career counseling.

What You’ll Do:

• Surveillance of non-pressure wounds, patients with impaired skin integrity and patients at risk for impaired skin integrity.

• Assists nursing personnel in the development of appropriate plan of care and documentation.

• Surveillance of pressure ulcers both admitted with and hospital acquired.

• Leads the Pressure Ulcer Prevention team in the reduction of hospital acquired pressure ulcers.

• Provides education for patients, families, caregivers and staff specific to prevention measures and wound care.

Who You Are:

• Graduate with a Bachelor’s in Nursing

• Certified in Wound Care and Ostomy

• Experienced with 3-5 years in relevant nursing experience, including Inpatient Wound Care experience

• Microsoft Suite proficient

• Preferably knowledgeable with Epic
