Opportunity
We are seeking a proven and disciplined leader to serve as Senior Director, Platform Integrity & Resiliency for a BNY business line. This highly visible role is responsible for leading critical incident management, transforming oversight and governance processes, overseeing third-party risk, and business resiliency in close coordination with enterprise-level functions.
This is an ideal opportunity for a transformational, process driven leader with experience in customer incident management, business resiliency, and enterprise coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management Leadership: Lead the incident response team for a line of business ensuring timely resolution of service disruptions, strong communications to stakeholders, and a culture of accountability and learning.
- Drive Culture Change Around Incidents: Champion a shift in mindset across the organization—promoting transparency, accountability, and proactive learning from incidents. Embed a culture where incident prevention, continuous improvement, and client impact are top priorities.
- Transform Oversight & Governance: Redesign governance and reporting frameworks to facilitate root cause analysis and proactive risk reduction. Use data and insight to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and elevate operational performance.
- Third-Party Oversight: Oversee the vendor due diligence process, including onboarding, ongoing performance reviews, and risk management in alignment with enterprise policies.
- Service Level Management: Lead the negotiation, monitoring and reporting of SLAs and KPIs with external providers and clients to ensure alignment with business objectives and client expectations.
- Business Resiliency Leadership: Drive resiliency planning and execution ensuring operational continuity and preparedness for potential disruptions.
- Enterprise Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison to the Enterprise Resiliency Office and coordinate with colleagues across the enterprise in similar resiliency, incident, and risk roles to ensure alignment, information sharing, and consistency of standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a disciplined, proactive, and collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience within financial services.
- Proven leadership with a strong track record of transforming governance, oversight and culture around incident management.
- Deep understanding of third-party risk, business resiliency, and enterprise governance structures.
- Experience operating within a complex, highly regulated environment with a strong grasp of compliance and operational risk frameworks.
- Experience with the agile development process to ensure platform fixes are managed into backlogs and delivered quickly with the proper end to end testing
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence across functions and levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with urgency, discipline, and transparency, especially during high-stakes or crisis situations.
