Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.
Martin North Hospital’s 6NE Neuroscience Unit provides comprehensive care in treating stroke, neuromuscular diseases, multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. As an RN on this team, you will have access to our advanced technology to make meaningful differences in the lives of patients and their families. In this position, you will use your nursing knowledge to support the hospital and act as a patient educator and advocate.
A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00AM – 7:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
Document in patients’ medical records.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain within one year of employment
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain within one year of employment
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
