You will be the trusted Insights partner to the Innovation team. Charged with providing consumer insights that enable informed decision making in support of developing new innovations, product and brand opportunities. Proactively leads and builds the Innovation Insight Learning Agenda to develop strategic initiatives with the Innovation team. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to champion consumer insights at all stages of the innovation process from discovery to commercialization.RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and Execute Insight Learning Agenda for innovation opportunities to drive brand share and increase household (HH) penetration.
- Leads assigned Innovation projects with assertiveness and leadership with best-in-class insight techniques to address business questions and new opportunities.
- Spearheads the Demand Space learning for new product and brand opportunities within the Innovation team to drive brand and category growth and increase HH penetration.
- Gives voice to the consumer learning and collaborates closely with the Innovation team, Sales, and R&D partners for North America.
- Partners with analytics and Business Insights manager to support holistic overviews and reveal insights that innovation initiatives.
- Partners with category management to propose and support shopper strategies for specific brands.
- Manages the North America Innovation Insight Budget monthly, communicate pacing and identify any shortfall within key business planning dates to Innovation and Finance partners.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration.
- 10 years of consumer insights, development and commercialization insight experience for a CPG organization key and supporting insights-driven innovation experience is essential.
- Skilled in the ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of information types and sources to form a cohesive picture from which the business can act with imagination.
- Recommend creative techniques as well as best in class insight tools to address business questions and develop new opportunities that inform innovation initiatives from discovery and early development of opportunities and ideation through to commercialization.
- Skilled at storytelling. Demonstrates the ability to communicate compelling, narrative-led insight findings in writing and orally to Innovation and key stakeholder audiences.
- Ability to synthesize cultural, category and consumer trends pertinent to discovering and developing innovation opportunities.
- Proven experience delivering insights to support all stages of the innovation funnel from discovery, through definition, development and delivery.
- Proficiency in, and strong aptitude for working with data (both structured and unstructured) and guiding research agencies in analyses and reporting.
- Seasoned experience with survey research methods and tools, for both Qualitative and Quantitative techniques.
- Solid working experience of Consumer Segmentation studies, Demand Space/5 Ws frameworks and how to leverage for brand growth.
- Experienced in Concept writing and validation tools through leading edge techniques, such as Nielsen Quick Test and BASES.
- Experienced with different qualitative approaches, as well as advertising testing, packaging evaluation.
- Experienced in presenting insight findings in-person to managerial or executive level audiences and translating findings in a palatable way, both written and orally, to support decisions surrounding innovation opportunities.
- Develops highly effective and collaborative working relationships with research and innovation partners to achieve best-in-class outcomes that represent good value for money.
- Good understanding of syndicated data and its uses, such as IRI data, household panel data.
- Displays leadership in assisting and guiding Innovation to embed the Consumer in all work and maintain the Consumer at the forefront.
- Shopper Insight experience added plus but not mandatory.
