Maintenance Generalist - 2ND Shift- Full Time - Storm Lake Turkey Plant, IA 50588

Job Details:

• This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This full-time, second-shift Maintenance Generalist position is for Tyson Foods’ Storm Lake Turkey Plant.

  The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment in a food-processing environment.  Position will work with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks and various chemicals and lubricants and will be responsible for welding, soldering, and assembling equipment.

  Requirements:

  ·         Must be willing to work in a changing environment.

  ·         Must have excellent communications skills and be able to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and management. 

  ·         Must be able to understand and convey written and oral communication.

  Must have one year of industrial maintenance experience and at least 6 months of continuous work history with the same employer in the last 12 months or was attending technical school or training within the last 12 months to be considered for this position.

  Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
