Senior User Experience Design Specialist, SAP Business Network 

 

SAP’s Business Network North Star vision is to become a modern, many to many network, connecting people, enterprises and business processes intelligently to foster collaboration and grow business sustainably. As the world’s largest business-to-business collaboration platform, SAP Business Network facilitates trillions of dollars in commerce annually across hundreds of millions of transactions, capturing a unified, end-to-end view of spend. Over the next few years, we are building a collaboration application platform for trading partners (buyers and sellers) which offers:  

• One common directory of robust trading partner data… from who you are and what you sell, to all your daily transactions to keep your business running.  
• A central place that adapts to you and your trading partner needs… find, be found, and transact seamlessly.  
• And the ability to connect and collaborate on any business process. The ones you have today and how your business will evolve.

We are in the early phases of delivering on this vision and are in the process of a re-platform, a redesign and a mindset shift focused on user experience to make it a reality.  To help us on this journey SAP Business Network is seeking a talented and visionary product designer to join our Design & UX team and design and deliver a best in class user experience.  
 
What you'll do 
 
Shape product direction:  

• Contribute to product or feature direction by suggesting features and enhancements to improve the overall experience  
• Own and drive the design problems from ideation to execution. 
• Analyze customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create cohesive, best-in-class experiences to our most challenging and high impact areas. 
• Deeply understand the business goal and customer goals, balancing them to create impact 

 
Deliver high quality designs showcasing excellence and craft: 

• Use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform the design decisions iteratively 
• Create user scenarios, user journey, wireframes, UI designs and prototypes throughout the full cycle of the product development 
• Collaborate closely with designers on the team to gather feedback, define features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area 
• Collaborate with central design system team and other designers to identify opportunities for standardization and incorporate recommendations for components.  
• Evangelize and drive product standards.  

 
Be a strong partner: 

• Partner with cross-functional teams and disciplines to gain a deep understanding of the problem space, explore strategic opportunities, and solve complex problems. 
• Provide feedback to leadership about performance and opportunities. 
• Provide feedback, mentoring and guidance to team members. 
• Help identify and shape solutions for internal, external roadblocks.
