Chief Strategy Officer

The CSO will report directly to the CEO and operate as a connective tissue across Growth, Operations, R&D, and People & Culture. This executive will lead the formulation and execution of corporate strategy, translating market signals into enterprise action balancing disciplined investment with bold innovation.
Role Overview:
Informed by extensive domain experience across Air Force, Space Force, AFRL, OSD (DIPAC), and Capitol Hill, CSO will drive:
- Mission-aligned growth in strategic accounts
- Acquisition and contracting strategies to position MetroStar for scale
- Partnership development to open high-leverage federal and industry channels
- Cultural continuity as MetroStar evolves into its next stage
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Leadership
- Define and drive enterprise-level strategies that shape MetroStar’s next chapter in Defense, Space, and Emerging Tech (via DOD R&E).
- Partner with the CEO on disciplined M&A execution and post-merger integration to support accretive, culture-aligned growth.
- Translate growth goals into execution-ready blueprints across business units.
Market-Operational Alignment
- Integrate market intelligence and customer demand signals with internal operating capabilities to ensure scalable delivery.
- Work closely with executive leaders to synchronize strategy with execution, maximizing both impact and resource efficiency.
Innovation and Investment Synergy
- Support solution strategy alongside innovation lab and customer solutions leaders connecting RDT&E priorities with evolving FAR/DFARS and acquisition reforms.
- Influence internal innovation investments, prioritize platform-level capabilities (e.g., MIDAS), and support IP monetization across use cases.
External Engagement and Partnerships
- Represent MetroStar in high-impact forums across government, industry, and the Hill as appropriate.
- Leverage deep personal networks across the Pentagon, the Hill, and acquisition community to expand MetroStar’s presence and perception.
- Advance thought leadership through strategic engagements, including GovCon contracting forums, Space innovation coalitions, and joint ventures.
Client & Market Engagement
- Serve as a client-facing executive for strategic pursuits, particularly within Air Force, Space Force, and SOF communities.
- Guide account teams (Tier 1 Accounts) and proposal strategy for high-value opportunities.
- Advise on use-case development, proposal themes, and differentiation across classified and unclassified pursuits.
Talent & Capability Development
- Champion a culture of growth, mentorship, and servant leadership across MetroStar’s evolving executive and management ranks.
- Lead by example with discipline, resilience, and curiosity, reinforcing our culture of agility and innovation.
- Coach and scale leaders capable of building enduring customer relationships and delivering excellence.
