About the Department
The Business Innovation Garage (BIG) is a high-growth unit in Novo Nordisk (NN), exploring four primary areas:
Establishing a network of Digital Innovation Hubs US (DIH US) situated in the most advanced and dynamic Healthtech ecosystems across the world with the objective to accelerate NN’s digital partnering & investment efforts, as well as create an environment where corporate and startups come together to experiment, build, and co-create in support of initiatives that challenge the status quo and leverage innovative technologies.
Support the organization in the execution of the digital strategy and its implementation across the organization.
Explore the limits of technology and its impact in cardiometabolic patients to untap the next big digital disruptor in healthcare
Accelerate the digital transformation of NN by supporting the organization in boosting partnerships with start-ups in digital healthcare.
DIH US has a strong anchoring in the North American organization and ecosystem, and is a joint effort of Global Digital, Data & IT (DDIT) and North America Operations (NAO).
The Position
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the overall success of the Digital Innovation Hub unit, by delivering Digital Innovation services. The primary focus of the position is structuring the scouting and analysis of partnering programs and facilitating interaction with external partners.
Digital Innovation Analyst support cross functional initiatives that leverage emerging technology, supporting ideation processes both internally and externally, convincingly, and clearly communicate to stakeholders across the business and act as an advisor on key trends identified in analysis of external companies' offerings.
Focus on mapping internal challenge to the external market, scouting for start-ups, engaging with universities, and communicating the value internally.
Relationships
This role directly reports to the Head of DIH US, with a dotted line to the IT Innovation & Architecture team. The role will be part of the larger BIG team, which includes the above-mentioned HQ department based in Denmark, as well as 7 DIHs located around the world.

Essential Functions
As a Digital Innovation Hub Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with business units to identify their business priorities and needs

Support the innovation programs following the Novo Nordisk Fast Track Innovation framework: Create and launch call for applications, scout and evaluate relevant startups and partners, and coordinate the selection of solutions

Scout external partners (startups, tech companies, universities) and digital health trends, and assess and communicate, through reports, solutions based on NN business needs

Participate in DIH US ecosystem engagement and network of the Digital Innovation Hubs (accelerators, incubators, academia, VCs, communities)

Attend and represent the DIH US in tech and Healthtech events and conferences

Organize meetups and events to attract startups and ecosystem players

Support organizational innovation capability building and adoption
Physical Requirements
20-30% overnight travel, including limited international travel
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Business, Innovation, Product development studies preferred.

2+ years of experience in a broad digital product development track/business model transformation, being specification, design, development, management, and implementation of digital solutions. Relevant Masters degree with little to no working experience may also be considered. Experience working with digital healthcare topics will be a plus.
