Summary:

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting department on the GL team! The staff accountant will  be responsible for a robust set of accounting duties and report to the Accounting Manager.  The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, a roll up their sleeve mentality, strong open communication skills, be a motivated team player and willingness to want to grow and take on new responsibilities. 

This position’s scope could include, but not limited to performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and account reconciliations, as well as supporting other processes as needed. This position will require a high degree of analysis of transaction level activity to ensure financial statements are free of discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly financial close in accordance with the established close schedule while adhering to GAAP and the company accounting policies
• Complies, researches, and examines financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions
• Timely and accurate preparation of reconciliations for assigned GL accounts and initiates and completes corrective action to ensure that outstanding items in account reconciliations are cleared promptly
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accuracy of financials during each close cycle
• Analyze and scrutinize financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the management’s attention
• Full ownership of assigned accounts/ area of work
• Assist with the quarterly review and annual audit requests
• Other projects and duties as required

Pay Range: $75,000-$80,000
