Data Analytics Intern

About the role

Chime is looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our Data Analytics team. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology and distributed systems alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $29 and up to $42. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Learn and execute best practices in data science and analytics 
• Leverage Chime’s unique data and BI visualization tools to deliver insights
• Work with stakeholders to design, run, and report on product experiments
• Deliver an end-to-end analytics project that generates novel insights and provides data-driven recommendations on critical business initiatives to Chime leadership

To thrive in this role, you have/are:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative fields from an accredited college or university
• Coursework and/or hands-on experience with large datasets and data visualization techniques
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passion for consumer FinTech
• Passion for learning from and leveraging data, insights, and technology to solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Proficient in SQL and either Python or R
