Description

Stimson Lumber Company in Forest Grove is seeking a Maintenance Planner who is team-oriented and possesses great problem-solving skills.  You will execute your role within a group that embraces new ideas, challenges the status quo, and works tirelessly to hone improve our teams’ professional skills.

 

Schedule: 5x8 day shift, with overtime as needed

 

Starting Pay:  Base pay for this position will start at $39.00/hour.  People with significant experience may come in at a higher level.  The range for this position is $39 - 52/hour.

 

Overtime:  This position is eligible for Overtime.

 

Commute Pay:  All Mill employees receive a $350/month fringe benefit to help with the cost of commuting and transportation.  This is the equivalent of another $2.00 per hour for full-time employees.

 

Healthcare:  Stimson pays 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision.

 

401(k):  Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k)-retirement account.

 

Profit Sharing:  Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay.

 

Bonus:  This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable.

 

Paid Time-Off:  Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation.  Paid sick leave is available up to 3 days per year.

 

Employee Referral program:  Earn a $2500 minimum bonus for a successful referral

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scheduling department meetings.
  • Monitors TPM and PM programs.
  • Modifies and adapts current program to keep up with mill changes.
  • Responsible for scheduling day-to-day and weekend maintenance.
  • Responsible for scheduling projects and project installations.
  • Ensures all parts needed for maintenance are on the plant site when scheduling jobs.
  • Works directly and indirectly with vendors and contractors.
  • Ensures all safety repairs are given #1 priority and are completed in a timely manner.
  • Proponent of the Continuous Improvement program.
  • Maintains and uses backlog as a scheduling tool.
  • Enters data in the computer.
  • Ensures repairs are professional and that quality repairs are completed.
  • Maintains good working relationship with all personnel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Communicates effectively with all tiers of mill personnel and has experience working well in a team setting
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Experience with CMMS program, preferably DynaStar.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Experience with decision-making.
  • Familiar with mechanical and electrical systems and repairs.
