Principal Cyber Research Scientist

Radiance is looking for a dynamic and future focused cyber research scientist. This individual will help guide Radiance’s cybersecurity and vulnerability analysis programs to innovate and introduce leading edge technologies in support of our clients’ missions.

Responsibilities:

• Propose and develop programs of research, IRAD topics, and funded proposals that address emerging challenges in cybersecurity and vulnerability research. Identify areas of with technical impact and immediate application to Air Force missions and other Government customers.
• Effectively communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including collaborating with other researchers and engineers.
• Identify and monitor emerging research and technical developments that affect cybersecurity with specific interests in embedded software, firmware, kernel, and application-level security.
• Provide hands-on expertise in vulnerability research. Mentor junior analysts and engineers. Assist with development of vulnerability products for specific high-interest assets.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field like computer science, cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field, including experience in threat research, security engineering, or security analysis
• Possess a strong technical foundation in areas like machine learning, cloud security, and threat intelligence.
• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Published contributions to academic publications, research conferences, and other formal venues.
