The shift for this position will be on-site (1800 S Novell Pl, Provo UT 84606) and expected to work Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-12:00PM
POSITION PURPOSE
The Receptionist serves as the welcoming face and voice of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU). This position creates a positive and professional first impression for visitors, students, and employees while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the reception desk. The role supports a wide range of administrative and operational functions that contribute to an organized, customer-focused campus environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reception and Customer Service
- Greets and assists visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Determines and manages visitor access to the University in accordance with security protocols.
- Answers, screens, and transfers phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Maintains visitor, parking, and check logs.
- Issues temporary parking passes and guest badges.
- Assists with visitor and event guest wayfinding.
- Serves as backup coverage for other receptionists, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Maintains the reception area to ensure a professional and organized appearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
2. Administrative and Operational Support
- Assists employees and faculty with supply requests and basic administrative needs.
- Inventories and stocks shared spaces such as staff and student lounges.
- Conducts internet searches, types documents, and prepares correspondence as directed.
- Files, copies, scans, and organizes digital or physical documents.
- Assists with meeting and event coordination, including setup, teardown, room reset, and post-event cleanup as needed.
- Maintains awareness of campus operations and provides general assistance as needed.
- Activates the Emergency Notification System when directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet navigation.
- One year of experience in reception, customer service, or administrative support preferred.
