The Patient Care Novice I position is enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Novice I position performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care.

Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.
Contribute to patient care in a safe environment as well as maintaining equipment, supplies, and stock in a safe and efficient manner.
Communicate effectively data and significant patient information to the attention of the RN.
Document data collected during the provision of patient care in a timely manner.
Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have successfully completed one full rotation (semester, quarter, etc.) of nursing clinicals through a fully accredited school of nursing. Must be in good standing in their program. Required
Must be enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing program fully accredited by either the CCNE (Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education) or NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission).
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
