And that’s where you come in.</span></p><p></p>Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid)<p></p><p></p><p><b>C++ Senior Software Engineer with German</b></p><p><br/><b>Core Responsibilities / Objective of the Role:</b><br/>In this role, you are responsible for the specification, development, integration, and testing of software components for control and safety systems (ARAMIS).</p><p><br/><b>Detailed Responsibilities and Duties:</b><br/>• Derivation of system and software requirements<br/>• Participation in software design<br/>• Implementation of software components<br/>• Integration of modules and software components in the internal GTS lab<br/>environment or on customer systems<br/>• Error analysis and troubleshooting<br/>• Development and documentation of test cases (customer-specific and internal)<br/>• Creation of scripts for test execution, automation, and simulation<br/>• Preparation of technical documentation<br/>• Development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests for unit, module,<br/>regression, product, and system testing<br/>• Documentation of test results (customer-specific and GTS-specific)<br/>• Preparation and execution of commissioning activities</p><p><br/><b>Required Education or Training:</b><br/>Successfully completed technical degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent qualification.<br/>Alternatively, extensive professional experience in the relevant operational environment.</p><p><br/><b>Technical Skills:</b><br/><b>Mandatory:</b><br/>• Experience with C++ (Qt)<br/>• Experience with Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy)<br/>• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MariaDB)<br/>Preferred:<br/>• Experience in operations and railway control and safety systems<br/>• Strong knowledge in analyzing and describing complex software systems<br/>• Familiarity with Docker containerization<br/>• Familiarity with version control using Git<br/>• Familiarity with CI/CD with Jenkins<br/>• Solid understanding of object-oriented software development, integration, and<br/>testing of software components</p><p><br/><b>Soft Skills:</b><br/>• Independent and responsible working style<br/>• Structured approach, team spirit, communication skills, and sense of responsibility<br/>• Results- and customer-oriented behavior<br/>• Good command of German and English, both written and spoken</p><p></p><p>Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
