As a Manager, Service Excellence supporting Alcon’s IT Infrastructure Services (IS) and Information Assurance (IA) organizations across the globe, you will be trusted with driving best practice, standards and over all acumen as related to financial and project management. You will be a key contributor and/or facilitator to strategic and target planning, will oversee responsibilities for financial analyst and project managers, and will directly collaborate with all IS&IA leads, including Director and VP level leaders, as well as leads from across other IT functions.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Project Stewardship: manage the people and own processes necessary to ensure proper project management discipline is applied toward project deliverables, own the health of project portfolio and champion the supporting processes from intake to close, and provide accurate and timely updates to key decision makers.
• Financial Stewardship: ensure proper financial stewardship to meet financial targets, provide accurate data and project statuses to decision makers, and proactively address challenges or opportunities in a timely manner.
• Planning and Facilitation: build and implement strategic plans, build a story through data and presentation to articulate strategy/goals, and facilitate Director & VP-level cross-functional workshops for financial strategy and target planning.
• Management: Manage and develop internal and external associates to provide services and achieve objectives
• Continuous Improvement: establish reporting & quality control measures, as well as driving continuous improvement for processes and tools. This is including, but not limited to, developing plans to enhance and/or automate financials and project management processes,
• Seek opportunities to provide high value back-office services

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience within a Project Management Office environment, including the management of people and processes toward project goals, and oversight of a project portfolio
• Proficient in areas of corporate financial management
• Experience with SAP, MS Excel, Power Point and/or relevant systems/applications
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising sound judgment
• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
• A passion for building the ‘story’ though presentation (Power Point) and data
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and experience with meeting facilitation

• Work hours: Standard hours, 4/1 Hybrid Schedule (Mon-Thur in office, Friday remote)
