About the role

A Senior Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual consultant on project implementation, integration, enhancement or other projects assigned. Duties are usually performed at a customer site, but can include offsite work.  This person works under minimal supervision on mid to large-sized tasks and projects involving multiple products or platforms. 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the on-site implementation of complex computerized maintenance management systems and related user training
  • Development of assessment (as needed)
  • Analyze customer business requirements and application objectives
  • Provides support to lower-level consultants
  • Leads or participates in periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan
  • Develops or assists in developing and refining forecasts for project variables as necessary throughout the project
  • Develops or assists in the development of a project plan incorporating all variables
  • Ensures that appropriate resources, including customer resources are assigned to the tasks defined
  • Serve as project lead consultant
  • Prepare weekly status reports on specific objectives
  • In the absence of a Principal Consultant, may serve as a liaison between company and the customer

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in maintenance management
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Experience with personal computers, SQL databases and LAN technology

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of equipment assembly structure design, numbering schemes, failure hierarchy and analysis
  • Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance operations including material management and work flow
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with others
  • Ability to organize and manage a project/set of tasks with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a changing general technology world & customer environment
  • Ability to gain working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
