Assistant Professor of Instruction - Slavic and Eurasian Studies

Description

The Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction beginning in Fall 2025. The Department seeks a specialist in Slavic applied linguistics, second language acquisition, and pedagogy. The position is renewable annually, contingent upon performance, programmatic need, and budgetary funding.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Slavic Language and Literatures, the ability to teach Bosnian/Croatian/Montenegrin/Serbian (BCMS) language(s) at all levels, and the ability to teach the Russian language at the beginning and intermediate levels are required.  Experience in developing open educational resources (OER), specifically technology-based BCMS language curricula, is preferred.
