Property management plays a critical role in ensuring that Chesapeake Community Development’s residential and commercial properties operate at the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and appearance. It ensures that all maintenance, renovation, and vendor operations are effectively managed to support people with IDD and the broader community.

The Director of Property Management will lead all aspects of property operations for Chesapeake Community Development’s residential and commercial portfolios, including oversight of maintenance teams, vendor management, renovation projects, and regulatory compliance. This role will be responsible for implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing work order systems, and coordinating emergency and seasonal responses to ensure all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with brand standards. The Director will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, supervise property management staff, manage capital and operating budgets, and contribute to long-term planning efforts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in property and facilities management, including team supervision, vendor negotiation, and project oversight. Strong knowledge of building codes, renovation processes, and compliance requirements is essential, along with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
