The Associate Director of Facilities Supplier Management the strategy, governance, and performance of Humana’s Facilities supplier ecosystem. This role owns strategic supplier relationships, oversees a team of Supplier Managers, and ensures measurable outcomes tied to operational excellence, cost efficiency, and business value.

You will build and scale a best‑in‑class supplier management framework, ensuring clear accountability, disciplined governance, and continuous improvement across a complex Facilities supply base. This role collaborates closely with Facilities Category Managers, operational stakeholders, and executive leaders to ensure suppliers deliver against evolving business needs.

Role & Responsibilities:

Strategic Supplier Leadership

  • Own and lead strategic supplier relationships across the Facilities supply base, setting clear performance expectations tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop multi‑year supplier relationship strategies and roadmaps for critical partners, including joint value creation initiatives, innovation pipelines, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Lead supplier stratification and segmentation, ensuring governance intensity and engagement models align with supplier criticality, spend, and risk.
  • Serve as the senior interface to key Corporate and CenterWell stakeholders, aligning supplier outcomes to evolving business needs and priorities.

Governance & Performance Management

  • Establish and run a disciplined QBR operating rhythm, including calendar management, agendas, pre‑reads, action logs, and follow‑through to drive transparency and accountability.
  • Drive fact‑based performance management, including scorecards, KPI governance, benchmarking, root‑cause analysis, and structured corrective action plans.
  • Implement closed‑loop stakeholder feedback mechanisms to capture voice‑of‑the‑business insights and translate them into supplier commitments and measurable improvements.
  • Define and institutionalize supplier management standards, including policies, playbooks, training, and governance forums to scale best practices enterprise‑wide.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a high‑performing team of Supplier Managers, providing coaching, capability development, and clear performance expectations.
  • Build a high‑accountability, high‑collaboration culture, modeling strong communication, proactive problem‑solving, and continuous improvement mindsets.

Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Facilities Category Managers to deliver both commercial and performance value through unified strategies and “one team” alignment.
  • Govern onboarding for Facilities suppliers, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance, compliance standards, and readiness to perform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, operations, or supply chain, preferably within Facilities, Real Estate, or Indirect categories.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex supplier relationships, governance models, and performance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and KPI management skills, with the ability to drive fact‑based decisions and structured accountability.
  • Experience managing and developing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage stakeholders and executives across diverse business environments.

In this role you will report to the Associate Director of Procurement.
