What’s the role?

• Chief Legal Officer: Majority’s main attorney and primary source of legal guidance
• Legal documentation: Oversee all in-house legal documentation and communication such as contracts, customer Terms & Conditions, Investment Agreements and public statements
• Laws & regulations: Stay up to date on local, state, and federal law as it pertains to our business and industry. Oversee the legal review procedures of the company.
• Legal Organization: Assemble the right network of outside attorneys and counsel to complement the inhouse team
• Corporate governance: Oversee the year wheel of formal governance activities

Who we’re looking for

• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations of the fintech industry in general and a fast scale up company in particular
• Experience navigating the judicial system within a network of local and international resources

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Proof of degree completion will be required.
• Bar Exam and admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.  A current, active BAR membership is required
• + 4 years practice with a top tier law firm, preferebly followed by 2-5 years experience as a general counsel or a similar role
