ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Cupertino Electric Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to projects within the assigned department. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Coordinator in coordinating building operations to ensure a clean, safe, and functional corporate environment. This role works to ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist with office management, construction planning and permitting, shipping/receiving, event management, and other daily operations.
- Set up and take down for office moves, meetings or other functions.
- Ensure all work areas, storage areas, and materials are safe, clean, and orderly, and that all cleaning supplies are clearly labeled and stored.
- Support planning and organization of work requests received by employees.
- Organize warehouse logistics.
- Organize and file records of preventative maintenance services, service requests, and other documents.
- Assist with weekly inventory counts on facility supplies, snacks, drinks and office supplies.
- Interact with and escort vendors for onsite service calls/repairs
- Communicate any issues to the Facilities Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Time Management: Good time management skills.
- Organization: Willingness to prioritize tasks with guidance.
- Communication: Comfort asking questions and explaining basic concepts.
- Other: Good physical stamina.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position requires extended periods of moving, remaining stationary, ascending, descending, and/or positioning oneself to complete various tasks throughout the shift.
- Responsible for physical activities, including, but not limited to, using hand tools, ascending or descending a ladder, moving, reaching, and lifting on a frequent basis; should be able to lift 35lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g., moving equipment, standing/bending, ascending/descending a ladder).
