POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a B2B Product Marketing Manager to enable Nespresso USA's growth strategy by leading the development, commercial planning, and go-to-market execution of key innovation projects. This is a hybrid role, supporting in our Manhattan HQ blended with some remote days on a weekly basis.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Product Roadmap
- Partners with Nespresso HQ Product Team to drive and support the development of the global innovation roadmap for the US Market by identifying opportunity areas, briefing consumer-centric concepts, and ensuring consumer validation
- Develops and executes a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives
- "Brings the Outside in” by collaborating with Industry groups and other Nestle sister brands to holistically assesses I&R portfolio and incorporate industry best practices to meet the market's strategic needs
Product Innovation
- Leads Product Marketing activities to gather consumer, customer, competition, and market insights, to deliver a winning value proposition in-line with the brand ambition
- Responsible for building and leading a large cross-functional team including R&D, quality, regulatory, developers, and suppliers throughout the ideation, concept, development, test and launch phases. The definition and development will require interaction, alignment & support from key internal stakeholders including the CEO and the Executive team
Key Activities
- Monitors industry trends and conducts market research to identify new product opportunities for the market that align with the company's objectives
- Defines a product’s competitive differentiation, positioning, and launch strategy in alignment with top management and market needs
- Manages a large cross-functional team across marketing, operations, supply chain, customer support and external agencies bringing projects from idea to execution
- Identifies ways to accelerate innovation through rapid prototyping and testing to learn and reduce risks
- Ensures agile methodology is implemented across the different streams to deliver ambitious roadmap in prioritized sequence of work packages
- Owns the innovation budget overall and ensure all components are aligned to deliver the business case assumptions including COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) , features, and market launch
Local Execution and Performance
- Ensures alignment across cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market strategy for all new product launches
- Responsible for SKU creation, price form submission, memo creation and distribution, packaging development, sampling, customer service Q&A, and creative asset deployment
- Defines clear milestones and measurable KPIs to assess performance of projects
- Assess and monitor product performance and use data-driven insights to inform product evolution, extensions, or discontinuation
- Anticipated Travel: 5%
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Marketing or Business
- Experience in business analysis and developing business cases required, particularly acquisition focused
- 3+ years' Brand Management experience
SKILLS:
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team and lead large meetings
- Ability to identify when and how to escalate issues to management level
- Experience managing complex platforms/operations/processes preferred
