As a Manager of Technology Program and Project Management (TPPM), you will be responsible for overseeing the TPPM discipline within the Technology team and will be reporting into the Director of Technology Programs and Project Management. The role manages a team of Project Management resources and facilitates the Technology team’s ability to collaborate with various technical and non-technical stakeholders across the enterprise to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Oversee day to day operations of the TPPM team supporting technology initiatives across the enterprise including core infrastructure, corporate applications, telecom platforms, unified communications, cloud engineering and more
  • · Create culture of excellence among Project Managers to cultivate trusted, strong relationships across the enterprise while promoting a transformative mindset of optimizing the role of people, process, and technology
  • · Scope new business opportunities, create business plans, project expected ROI, establish KPIs, ensure milestones are realistic, actionable, scalable, and directionally favorable
  • · Monitor, track, report out on performance of project portfolio for executive leadership
  • · Stay abreast of institutional priorities, emerging industry trends, regulatory changes to help drive new Technology projects to help NYP position itself for long term financial health
  • · Works with internal/external contacts: May work with outside consultants during the life cycle of a project, may work with third party Vendors in the acquisition or development of software products, Interacts with Business Unit Management regularly
  • · Keeps leadership and department apprised of program progress, milestones and issue resolution.
  • · Collaborates with department/project teams to assist in the design and implementation of internal operational policies and procedures resulting from solution installations and upgrades.
  • · Manage and assist in the development of feasibility studies and business plans in support of Line of Business, Support, and Senior/Executive initiatives.
  • · Participate in the execution and implementation of corporate initiatives and change events to help ensure both divisional and corporate goals and objectives are achieved.
  • · Develops innovative approaches for dealing with customer needs that are also aligned with overall organization goals and objectives.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Degree
  • Hospital IT Experience

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
  • Transformation/Lean/Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • High performing leader – believes encouraging effective behavior is the key to project success.
  • Influencer – able to develop effective relationships and credibility with local team members who may not directly report to them.
  • Self-directed – confident and capable in ambiguous environments; believes work product reflects oneself.
  • Problem structuring / resolution – seeks to understand the core of an issue before solving. Once understood, moves to resolve the issue in a timely and collaborative effort.
  • High business acumen – understands which levers impact a company’s bottom line and which are proxies to success. Candidate is capable of separating the two and aligning resources accordingly.
  • Communication - Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to effectively collaborate, build relationships and manage change
