About this role
As an HVAC Senior Journeyman with Carrier, you will uniquely impact our customers, becoming the face of the confidence, we stand by while ensuring their comfort. Your knowledge of Commercial HVAC will be critical in working on a variety of installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and service chiller units to ensure efficient operation; (100-2000 ton size range).
Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on large tonnage chillers (100-2000 tons).
Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Install, replace, or repair faulty parts parts and components; calibrate controls.
Perform factory startups of new chillers
Inspect operating chillers and observe and log pressures, temperature, power data to ensure efficient operation of the unit and make necessary adjustments.
Have knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing chiller faults, alerts, and performance issues.
Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems and starters. Assist in sales in identifying labor, parts and materials needed for repair estimates.
Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required
Recognize and identify potential risks and hazards associated with performing all work-related duties safely. Complete pre-job safety survey and perform work per Carrier Safety guidelines.
Work to mitigate potential risks associated with essential duties
Collaborate with management personnel to maintain safe working environments
Participate in a comprehensive OSHA-approved safety course (preferably an OSHA 10- or 30-hour course) and adhere to company and regulatory compliance programs
