Principal Software Engineer

As a Two Six Principal Software Engineer you will:

You should be comfortable taking on complex technical problems, and developing and managing a technical team’s approach. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and forging technical strategies and novel approaches to difficult challenges; our small team setting will provide you opportunity for outsized impact. Actively participate in the design, build, test, implementation, and sustainment phases of product development and research programs focused on advancing end user operational outcomes, security, and privacy. Lead and assist building and maintaining relevant applications, service, APIs, and user-interfaces related to cloud-hosted data management platforms.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and mentor an experienced research and product development team 
• Leverage experience with the principles of large-scale (terabytes) database development, Data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and technical data GUI UI/UX
• Utilization of open source libraries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) complex datasets
• Design and develop related we-based user-interfaces

Minimum Qualifications:

• A master's degree or better in CS, CE or related on the job experience and demonstrated ability
• Experience using MVC server-side web frameworks such as Grails, Spring Boot, or Micronaut. Grails in particular a plus
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React (preferred), AngularJS, or Vue. Typescript experience a plus
• Experience developing internal and external API services
• Self-driven work ethic; solid teaming, problem solving, and communications skills
• Interest in technology research and development for National security solutions

Nice If You Have: 

• Any experience with Linux, Tomcat, Hibernate, Jira/Confluence, Jenkins, GIT, RDBMS, Vue, React, Angular, messaging/queuing technologies, experience with consuming and creating web services, and additional javascript frameworks. 
• 10+ years of experience in software development
• Experience driving software product delivery and release cycles, and/or R&D projects for National security use-cases

Clearance Requirements:

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
