In this role, you will be responsible for planning, leading, executing, and supporting the full life cycle of acquisitions and divestitures, formation and dissolution of joint ventures, and similar transactions, for Raytheon.
Responsibilities for acquisitions include pre-transaction concept development, target identification and screening, development of strategic rationales, detailed valuation analysis, synergy assessments, due diligence planning and execution, pre-closing actions, day-one transition actions, as well as integration and transition planning.
Responsibilities for divestitures include business case and decision analysis, development of confidential marketing materials, financial analysis, disentanglement and separation planning, data room management, diligence tracking, development of transition services agreements, and of all related documentation and plans.
This role is highly collaborative and requires working across Raytheon HQ, business units, functions, and the broader RTX organization. Critical touchpoints include P&L leaders, finance and accounting, strategic planning, engineering, supply chain, and legal departments, as well as colleagues in similar corporate development roles across the enterprise. You will need to engage effectively with external advisors, consultants, and key contacts from counterparties to our transactions.
This hands-on role involves a mix of both leading and doing. We are a small team, and everyone is expected to make contributions, and to lead, teach, mentor, and advise other team members, building on your prior transaction experiences, knowledge, and best practices.
This position is highly visible to Raytheon corporate leadership. You must develop and deliver highly effective communication packages to summarize project status and critical issues with senior executive leadership.

This role will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Development for Raytheon.
This onsite position will be in one of the following locations: Woburn, MA; McKinney, TX; Tucson, AZ; or Arlington, VA
- No relocation assistance is available.
- Some travel required – domestic and international – to other RTX and target company sites.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and execution of the full life cycle of acquisition and divestiture transactions
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and external advisors to identify and screen potential acquisition candidates
- Developing target profiles, strategic rationales, and related financial analysis supporting transaction decisions
- Collaborating across functional and organizational boundaries to develop and execute detailed transaction plans
- Developing and presenting of highly effective executive communications
- Cultivating and developing a talented team of colleagues
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree in a technical or business field, and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 10 years of experience
- Experience analyzing, leading, and supporting the execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions.
- Experience in developing strategic business cases and related decision analysis
- Experience in complex project planning, execution, tracking and reporting
- Strong financial modeling skills for pro-forma business modeling, transaction valuation analysis, DCF, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mastery of MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and relevant research and financial data services tools (such as Factset, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. (In most cases, US citizenship is required.)
