Job Description Summary
The Client Development Manager/TAG Sales Director is responsible for new sales, organic sales, proactive marketing and relationship management of assigned partners. The region focus for this role will be in the South or Central regions. Work from Home; office hours are Eastern and Central Time.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for actively growing existing Retirement Plan Exchanges/GPS and PEPS for TAG/Transamerica.
- Represent the company with new sales opportunities, including formal presentations by phone, web and in person at conferences, client locations and advisor offices.
- Manage relationships for assigned partners. Create execute business development plans.
- Keep partners apprised of new product or system developments.
- Interact regularly with internal and external partners to promote and support retirement plan exchange/GPS and PEPS:
- RVPs (mid-market) regarding sales opportunities and to promote the programs
- Client Transition Services to facilitate the onboarding of new participating employers
- Client Executives/Account Management to coordinate plan level support
- National Accounts to provide education
- DCIO to look for ways to promote these programs
- BDG to support national B/D relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent education/experience
- Five years of retirement industry or similar experience including sales and marketing experience and technical retirement knowledge
- Two years of sales, business development and customer service experience
- Life and Health insurance licenses
- FINRA SIE, Series 6 and 63 licenses
- Understanding of ERISA and retirement industry trends
- Knowledge of retirement programs and subject matter expertise in plan management, including, but not limited to technical, compliance, administration, investment, and participant solutions.
- Excellent communication, follow through and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Decision making and problem resolution skills
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous projects under pressure
- Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation
**Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.**
The Base Salary for this position generally ranges between $80,000 - $90,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
In addition, this position is currently eligible for variable compensation.

- Office hours are EST and/or CST.
- Travel - 2-3 trips per quarter to support local sales opportunities. Miscellaneous travel as needed.
