Description
The University of Iowa Parking & Transportation department is seeking a CAMBUS Programs and Compliance Coordinator. The programs and compliance coordinator position will perform duties related to the administration of FTA programs. This includes coordinating FTA Title VI, ADA, and Transit Asset Management. This position compiles and verifies information and data used in local, state, and federal reporting. This position also maintains records and updates programs and policies. This position provides functional supervision of operations staff, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal policies and regulations. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
Duties to include:
• Serve as the primary coordinator for FTA program, including ADA, Title VI, DBE, and Transit Asset Management. Ensure applicable regulations are met, maintain information and databases, prepare information and data reports, and coordinate responses to inquiries or complaints.
• Review FTA programs for compliance and alignment with UI strategic plans, and local, state, and federal requirements. Prepare updates to plans and evaluate program success.
• Coordinate with MPOJC on FTA program compliance with ADA, Title VI, DBE, and Transit Asset Management.
• Coordinate projects and the implementation of new technologies within the transit system. Update and manage standard operating procedures for new and existing technologies, policies and procedures.
• Ensure local, state, and federal policies and regulations are met throughout the transit system’s operational, maintenance, and administrative areas.
• Provide functional supervision to CAMBUS operations staff to ensure compliance with UI, local, state, and federal requirements.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC)
Salary: $46,450 to commensurate
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience (typically 1 year) managing multiple programs, projects, and/or objectives while making effective judgements to the priorities of time and resource allocation.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications:
• Applicable experience (typically 3 years) providing administrative support for programs or services.
• Experience working in a public transit environment and with FTA programs and regulations.
• Knowledge of UI policies, procedures, systems, and regulations.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to public transit services.
